Sales Consultant for SimHerd

About SimHerd A/S
SimHerd A/S creates value for dairy cattle farms through reliable, research-based decision-support tools. The SimHerd model is a simulation tool for decision support, originally developed by Aarhus University. The tool is now marketed commercially and is used by a wide range of actors in the agricultural sector both domestically and internationally. The Position
SimHerd’s customers are primarily actors who provide technological and knowledge-based solutions to farmers, such as advisors, providers/suppliers of genetics, sensor technology, pharmaceutical solutions, feed supplements, etc., as well as dairies and slaughterhouses.

Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for sales of SimHerd products to these customers. The role is versatile and requires a good understanding of the value chain and the various stakeholders’ needs.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Sales and support for customers
  • Follow-up and preparation of offers for customers
  • Regular visits to new and existing customers
  • Identifying and contacting potential new customers
  • Ongoing market monitoring and reporting
  • Representing SimHerd at trade shows and conferences
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments and technological advancements

As part of SimHerd, you will work closely with a highly qualified team, who will also provide technical support and actively participate in the sales process. You should have the ability to acquire new knowledge within our field and take a proactive approach in your daily work. Your primary workplace will either be at SimHerd’s office in Agro Business Park in Tjele or at VikingDanmark in Agro Food Park in Aarhus. Some international travel is expected for customer visits, trade shows, and conferences.

Your Profile
We imagine that you have direct industry experience in a role such as advisor, consultant, or salesperson. However, if you have a relevant educational background or practical experience combined with sales experience in another field, we are also open to considering candidates who are willing to learn more about the industry. You have strong communication skills in both Danish and English, both written and spoken. IT-wise, you are accustomed to using common tools like MS Office and online meeting platforms.
